Youth Groups at Sanghar Stood up for greener Public Places.    

Indus for All Programme, Chotiari Reservoir site team with the joint efforts of Civil Hospital Sanghar, Nursing Institute, Forest Department Sanghar, and the Youth Group of Pakistan Medical Association and Voice Youth Group Sanghar organized a youth greening activity by launching a Solid Waste Collection Mechanism and Greening/Beautification Campaign at Civil Hospital and Nursing Institute Sanghar on 6 February 2009. The main objective of this joint initiative was to build self-esteem and increase youth ownership of state’s public places, infrastructure and services by creating a caring attitude amongst them for their natural environment.

As a part of the campaign various activities were organized including inaugural gathering; installation of Solid Waste Collection Mechanism (municipal waste only) within the boundaries of the Civil Hospital and Nursing Institute Sanghar, establishment of a Green Corner (a Small Garden), and plantation of 300 trees through youth group representatives and doctors. Zila Naib Nazim (Elected Deputy District Administrator). Executive District Officer Health and Medical Superintendent attended the event as the Chief Guest.
